The QE2 as she is known ... currently moored permanently in Dubai as museum and hotel, this ship was once the flagship of Cunard line and a certain amount of time she was the only surviving true ocean liner in the world! Serving for almost 40 years, surviving even wartime service in the Falklands in 1982 and other difficult times.
She was built in 1967 making her maiden voyage in 1969 ... well ... the rest of her story is as they say ... written in history ... and all passenger ships enthusiasts know her very well.
In late 2004 I was able to make a short cruise on her for a few days and below you can find an album of photos I took while onboard this queen of the seven seas. She will also appear in many other blog posts and albums on this website from the various times I managed to view her in ports all over the world.
